The 2014 Bob Rowe Memorial Classic wrestling tournament has a new home - James M. Bennett High School.
The $66 million school, which just opened four years ago, contains a spacious gym which will host the four mats of varsity action. The adjacent cafeteria will hold three mats for JV action.
Tournament Director Bill Duck is excited about the move: "The move to JMB brings the tournament back to its high school roots will allowing plenty of space for wrestlers, coaches and spectators. We can again provide a coaches' room and utilize the trainer's room and equipment available at the high school with two athletic trainers. JMB will be great hosts and I look forward to working with them as Wi-Hi and JMB combine efforts to host the best regular-season tournament on the Eastern Shore in January."
